This is a Heavily Rutilated Quartz Hand cut Gemstone set in a bold sterling silver pendant.

The rutile fibers sparkle and flash as the light moves though the stone. I have set it in a sterling silver pendant design.

This pendant measures 2 inch long by 1 1/4 inches wide.
This stone measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/8 inches.

Rutile is a titanium oxide mineral that is found in granites, pegmatites and metamorphic rocks. It is also found in quartz crystal and hence makes for a beautiful semi precious stone cabochon.
