Shattuckite Copper Mineral Art Nouveau Pendant in Sterling Silver

Here is a stunning hand cut Shattuckite Gemstone and is a current favorite stone of mine. This one has quite a large patch of the very rare Gemstone dioptase along with cuprite and chrysocolla.

Shattuckite can contain any number of complex Copper Minerals in various forms including Azurite, Malachite, Chrysocolla, Cuprite and beautiful Dioptase as well.

Dioptase is a rare hydrous copper silicate and can be found in pure crystals from Namibia.

Azurite is a blue copper carbonate mineral. Azurite can be found as a single mineral but also is found with other copper based minerals. Azurite also can change into malachite and often both are found in the same stone sometimes also with light blue chrysocolla and dark red cuprite making it an awesome jewelry gemstone. Azurite has also been used as a dye for paints and luxury fabrics.

The stone used here is hand cut and measures about 1 1/8 by 1 inch.

The entire pendant measures 1 3/4 long by 1 inch
