Fire Agate Gemstone Ring Hand Crafted Hand Cut Red and Orange Flash Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Large Sized Abstract Free Form Stone

This is a fine hand cut Mexican Fire Agate set in a Sterling Silver one of a kind Art Nouveau Ring Design. I prefer to cut these stones to their existing shape and the result here is a rather amoeba shaped stone that shows full color across the whole stone.

The color is a bright red flash with orange highlights.

This stone is hand cut and
measures roughly 18 by 12 mm or about 11/16 by 1/2 inch.

This ring is a size 6 1/4 but can be sized from a 5 to an 8.

Please contact me above about sizing or replicating this ring.

Agates are microcrystaline quartz and are found in many varieties. Fire Agate has a thin layer of Limonite which is an iron based mineral found just under the surface of the agate. This gives Fire Agate its rolling fire. I have many types of various agates to choose from. Please email me for information about the hundreds of types of agate available.
In Islam, agates are deemed to be very precious stones. According to tradition, the wearer of an agate ring, for example, is believed to be protected from various mishaps and will enjoy longevity, among other benefits. In other traditions agate is believed to cure the stings of scorpions and the bites of snakes, soothe the mind, prevent contagion, still thunder and lightning, promote eloquence, secure the favour of the powerful, and bring victory over enemies. Persian magi are also known to have prized agate rings in their work and beliefs
