Here is a stunning hand cut Blue Bird Mine Copper Mineral Gemstone from Arizona. This material has prominent Chrysocolla and Azurite but can also be found with malachite and cuprite. The mine was closed in the early 80s and so is a rare and unusual gemstone.
It is set in a one of art nouveau sterling silver setting.
The stone measures 30 by 20 mm or 1 1/4 by 3/4 inch.
